Moratorium on Buildings
In an effort to protect the integrity of Morningside-
Lenox Park, Virginia-Highlands, and North Buckhead,

of these neighborhoods, developers are buying
older homes and replacing them with modern upscale
models that can fetch as much as a $1 million at sale.
The temporary moratorium will require action by the
Atlanta City Council.

for other states to enact this legislation during the
2006 sessions of their legislative bodies.
